PANCAKE TALK TUESDAY INDEX NO. 17: BEING OK ALONE-PARTY OF 1

Some times you need to take in some me time. There is no better time than now for you to allow yourself to be happy. It is time to embrace yourself and all that you have to offer. Be alone; give yourself the chance to learn about yourself, expand your soul and allow yourself to grow. Enable each chapter of your life to help you become a better you. Press forward, putting one foot in front of the other, until you are finally so overwhelmingly confident that you can look back, and see that you have climbed mountains.

There are so many things we can do in our own time. It's okay to have a solo party every once in a while. Just Dance!

How to Overcome Adversities in Your Life Pancake Talk Tuesday Index No. 16

This week on Pancake Talk Tuesday, we've brought Friday to Tuesday. Jamal of Cinq à Sept Friday, has delighted us with hot topics and some great advice on how he overcomes adversity in his life.

This week we both shared how we have overcome adversities in our lives. No matter the ups or down, we are learning to keep it moving. Tomorrow, will never repeat today, you have to stay positive and move forward with life. We both understand that adversity can be more than just one difficulty or setback. Adversity can be seen as a series of difficulties or misfortunes that keep you from achieving your goals and finding happiness. So how do you overcome it? You may think that all of the advice out there about overcoming adversity is easier said than done, but in reality, you too can overcome adversity if you cultivate the right attitude and take the steps to get what you want and deserve. If you want to start overcoming adversity today, see Step 1 to be on your way to the life you've worked for.

Whether we like it or not, adversity is part of life. Overcoming adversity is one of the biggest hurdles we face. As Havelock Ellis wrote, "Pain and death are part of life. To reject them is to reject life itself."

Problems, large and small, present themselves to us throughout our whole existence. Regardless of how sharp, clever, or happy-go-lucky we are, we will encounter struggle, challenges, difficulties and at times, heart wrenching moments.

Blueberry Lemon Pancakes

INGREDIENTS

Pancake Batter

1 cup all-purpose flour, (spooned and leveled)
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, or vegetable oil
1 large egg
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 cup Fresh Blueberries
2 tbs of Lemon Extract

STEP 1
Preheat oven to 200 degrees; have a baking sheet or heatproof platter ready to keep cooked pancakes warm in the oven. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
STEP 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, butter (or oil), and egg. Add dry ingredients to milk mixture; whisk until just moistened (do not overmix; a few small lumps are fine).
Add Lemon Extract and Blueberries
STEP 3
Heat a large skillet (nonstick or cast-iron) or griddle over medium. Fold a sheet of paper towel in half, and moisten with oil; carefully rub skillet with oiled paper towel.
STEP 4
For each pancake, spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of batter onto skillet, using the back of the spoon to spread batter into a round (you should be able to fit 2 to 3 in a large skillet).
STEP 5
Cook until surface of pancakes have some bubbles and a few have burst, 1 to 2 minutes. Flip carefully with a thin spatula, and cook until browned on the underside, 1 to 2 minutes more. Transfer to a baking sheet or platter; cover loosely with aluminum foil, and keep warm in oven. Continue with more oil and remaining batter. (You'll have 12 to 15 pancakes.) Serve warm, with desired toppings.

Pancake Talk Tuesday Index No. 15: How to obtain the desires of your heart.

Coffee and Conversation. Let's Chat!

The Heart: Heart, intellect, awareness, mind, inner person, inner feelings, deepest thoughts, inner self. When the Old Testament uses the word "heart," it is not just describing the physical organ that pumps blood through your body.  As in English, the Hebrew concept of "heart" encompasses both the physical organ (2 kin. 9:24) and a person's inner yearnings (Ps. 37:4). Perhaps the noblest occurrence of leb is Deut. 6:5, commanding Israel to love the Lord "with all your heart" (Jesus placed great emphasis on this sentence; see Mark 12:29, 30). Jer. 17:9 states that the human heart is the most deceitful thing in the world, and yet v. 10 shows that the Lord is able to sort and analyze what lies within the heart. The Bible focuses on what is really going on in a person's heart or inner being.

Psalm 37:1-4
Tells us not to be worried about the success off others, but to trust in God who has the power to make our dreams come true. David wrote, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart" (v. 4). The condition to this happening is that we first delight ourselves in the Lord.

When we are walking with Jesus Christ in a surrendered relationship and our hearts have been purified by His truth and love, then the desires of our heart will be godly desires. In fact, when she are walking in a close relationship with Him, He will inspire us with dreams and desires that are from Him.

Psalm 37:6-8
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him, Do not fret because of him who posters in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Crease from anger, and forsake wrath: Do not fret-it only causes harm.

Turn it Over to God

Psalm 37:5-8
This psalm teaches us to commit our way in life to the Lord and He will bring our righteous desires to pass in His timing (v. 5). In order for us to realize the dreams that God has placed in our hearts, we will need to exercise faith, being obedient and committed to the vision and dream. God's promises can only be fulfilled in us as we obey the "Law of Use" described in the Parable of the Talents (Matt. 25:14-29). Jesus taught His disciples that they must use and exercise the gifts that God had given them or they would loose them.

Pancake Talk Tuesday Index No. 14: Never Give Up

Concentrate on Your path...Never give up. If you never try, you will never know.

There are so many times in life when things really get tough, sometimes even before we start. We talk ourselves out of things, make them appear harder than they really are, all the while we could be talking ourselves out of our destiny. Ever wonder what would happen if you just did it, and didn't give up! Miracles could take place, you could help others, your dream life could await. So stop. Start. And Don't Quit.

We should live this way, to find our way. If I didn't start this journey I would have never known what life could really be like. How many smiles I could create on peoples faces, and the positive influence I could be to others, none of this would have been possible if I didn't simply start. So I encourage you to please live your hearts desire. Many may not understand, and truly you may not understand, but the bottom line is you do what's in your heart, and the rest will work itself out.

Don't Quit When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all up hill, When the funds are low and the debts are high And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don't you quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about When he might have won had he stuck it out; Don't give up though the pace seems slow-- You may succeed with another blow, Success is failure turned inside out--The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far; So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--It's when things seem worst that you must not quit. - Unknown

Words to live by.

At some point in the various journeys we embark on in our lives, we get to a part where we feel like giving up. Sometimes we give up before we even start and other times we give up just before we are about to make that huge break-through that we have been putting so much effort in to achieve.

1- As Long As You Are Alive Anything Is Possible
The only valid excuse you have to give up is if you are dead. As long as you are alive (and healthy and free) you have the choice to keep trying until you finally succeed.

Here's a list of 22 reasons why you should never give up and I hope that you will find it before you give up, so that I can inspire you to keep going! Click Here

I hope this touches someone to live a life of triumph, happiness, and joy.
